📢 GUNAA COMMITTEE HIGHLIGHT📢

GUNAA recruits alumni and others who will support the University and it’s goals through fundraising in partnership with GUNAA. The committee is responsible for all GUNAA fundraising initiatives in support of scholarships and campus revitalization projects. The fundraising committee is seeking talented alumni who are willing to serve with passion to further advance our college home. The GUNAA Fundraising Committee is co-chaired by Athena Gardner Halton and Dewanna Jefferson to which they both serve with passion to ignite the Tiger Spirit in giving opportunities.

Athena Gardner Halton, is a 1997 Mass Communications graduate and has served in several fundraising roles for non-profit organizations and marketing roles for Southwest Airlines. Athena also led the 2018 Jewett Hall Project (upgrades to the Jewett Hall common areas).

Dewanna Jefferson, is a 1996 Marketing graduate who began her career at JPMorgan Chase, with over 20 years corporate experience. Dewanna has a stellar record for advancing strategic initiatives. Currently Dewanna is a consultant for Ettain Group, supporting cyber security initiatives for Bank of America. Dewanna currently serves as the Scholarship Chair for the GUNAA-Collie J. Nicholson Chapter where she has led fundraising endeavors for scholarship opportunities.
